Wrinkle For Maya
 

Wrinkle is a plug-in which contains dependency graph nodes and commands. This plug-in allows you to create higher level control on additional deformation.

Node has inMesh attribute which allows you to connect geometries. Based on the deformation on the geometry (skin, cloth, nonlinear, etc.) node calculates surface tension on desired areas by reading mesh data from inMesh attribute. Calculation gives you two usable outputs namely “outContract” and “outExpand”.

This plug-in has been developed especially for wrinkle type deformation on character skin or on cloth object or on any king of geometry that you need to have wrinkle type deformation on.

Two types of dependency graph nodes are available in the plug-in.

  • Wrinkle Node: This node allows you co create layered type deformation.
  • WrinkleH Node: This node supports construction history along with same functionality that wrinkle node has. Unlike “wrinkle” node, it has inMesh as well as outMesh attribute and creates output geometry just like other deformation nodes in Maya. Unlike simple deformation nodes wrinkleH node  uses compute function of the API class.
