This tool allows you to create assets and asset types. You can give any name you desire to your asset and asset type. Vehicle and character can be given as examples of asset types and individual assets like “Charles” or “Viper” can be given as examples of asset. As you can easily presume “Charles” will be an asset under “Character” asset type and “Viper” will be a member of “Vehicle” asset type. When you create asset or asset type for the project all information needed will be recognized by other tools like save and publish tool in order to maintain collaborative work environment. |

Whenever you complete an asset you need to publish it for the project which allows other users to use your final asset in the project. Let’s say you have created a rig for a character. All you have to do is click publish menu item, rest of the process will be handled by the tool. Tool will publish the asset with right name in right location. If you have this asset already published the tool will backup existing asset and inform you about the result of the process. |
